Track Name: Christingle Night
The red tape round the orange face makes the children stop and stare. They eat the fruit and the candles too while their parents are unawares. Christingle night, stained glass glows, snow so white under frozen toes. So hide them well upon highest shelves so the children cannot reach. Father snores as the fire roars, work has closed up for the week. Nose pressed against the glass, I see an old man is walking past, face dirty, hunched over, downcast. At Christmas time don't be on your own, come inside make yourself at home. Crack a smile, let your worries cease. Beloved child of the Prince of Peace. We need to hear at this time of year that someone cares for us. The young and old and the shy and bold, both the righteous and unjust. We want to know and trust when times are tough that you are loved. Look no further than your Father up above.
